Abstract/Preface
The transport of therapeutic agents to the central nervous system (CNS) is one of the most difficult tasks in the modern pharmaceutical sciences and clinical medicine. Although there have been spectacular improvements in drug discovery and development, there is a drastic low conversion of promising neurotherapeutic candidates into effective treatment due to their inability to effectively deliver these molecules across biological barriers to the location of action in the brain [1,2].
