Abstract/Preface
The properties of square roots are of significant interest in Number Theory. This paper covers the general case of square roots of real numbers. Numerous properties of such square roots are proven in a straightforward manner and, for cases in which √x is rational, elementary calculation methods are presented to determine the values of √x.
